Sanguine Trillium is a mythic, emotionally charged animation exploring themes of rebirth, ancestral connection, and transformation. Drawing on the symbolism of the raven/crow archetype, the piece follows a figure’s journey through emotional death and spiritual renewal, emerging from isolation into healing and love. The animation blends hand-drawn sequences, stop-motion techniques, and multimedia layering, evoking a flipbook-like intimacy. Inspired by the transition from winter to spring, and created as a reflection of my final year at SMWC, Sanguine Trillium serves as both self-reflection and farewell a visual rite of passage.
